I agree with all of this, but also I think it's because Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman are such iconic characters people are struggling to understand why they keep "flopping." Well, obviously not Batman, but the characters in his universe. Again, I don't think that's the ONLY factor, but I think it's a contributing one.
