@scott_keller_realtor: 🎸❤️ BEFORE THEY WERE THE BANGLES… THEY WERE FOUR GIRLS WITH A DREAM! REMEMBER THE ’80s? 🎶 Let’s take a little trip back to October 9, 1982, to Hollywood, California, when four young women were making music, chasing their dreams, and had no idea just how big they were about to become! Vicki Peterson, Debbi Peterson, Susanna Hoffs, and Annette Zilinskas were performing at Hollywood’s Lhasa Club. They had the talent, the determination, and that unmistakable early ’80s sound! ❤️ And here’s something I love about their story. These girls weren’t backed by some big record company throwing money at them. They used money from their day jobs to finance their first single and even photocopied their own record sleeves! Now that’s dedication! 🎸 But here’s where the story gets interesting! Their original band name came from an old magazine article about hairstyles. Unfortunately, another band in New Jersey was already using that name. So they made a little change, adding a few letters, and the rest became music history! By the mid-’80s, these girls were everywhere! Songs like “Manic Monday,” “Walk Like an Egyptian,” and “Eternal Flame” became part of the soundtrack of our lives. 🎶 And who could forget Susanna Hoffs and those unforgettable eyes looking straight into the camera? ❤️ But here’s my question for all you ’80s music lovers! 🤔 BEFORE THEY WERE THE BANGLES, WHAT WAS THEIR ORIGINAL BAND NAME? And don’t cheat by looking it up! 😂 Were you a Bangles fan back in the day? What was your favorite song? And how many of you still turn up the radio when one of their hits comes on? ❤️ LIKE 👍 COMMENT 💬 SHARE 🔄 and FOLLOW for more great memories, forgotten stories, and a little trip back to the music and magic of the ’80s! #TheBangles #80s #RockNRoll #Nostalgia #Classic
