@decointeriorism: I really like when a renovation respects the history of a building instead of trying to hide it. This Tribeca apartment was originally part of an 1896 factory, and some of its most beautiful features are still there. The huge timber beams, cast iron columns and high ceilings give the space so much character. What I find especially interesting is the contrast between these original industrial elements and the much cleaner, contemporary interiors. It’s quite minimal, but the history of the building adds a warmth and personality that would be difficult to recreate in a new space. Definitely a project worth saving. 🤎 Project • Tribeca Apartment Architecture • Nicholas Deramo Interior Design • Rob Johansen Location • Tribeca, New York Photography • Sean Davidson Words • Leo Lei Featured in • Leibal #newyorkcity #tribeca #interiordesign #architect
