Yesss exactly! Was Guru Pathik supposed to be the only South Asian? Also, if we’re going to talk about supposed “continuity breaking,” wouldn’t Jae the airbender and new mentor to the twins, who is clearly Korean-inspired with his name and fave food (Kimchi-jjigae) even more “world-breaking” since the air nomads were inspired by Tibetan monks, and the other four nations were inspired by the Inuit, Imperial Japan, and Qing-dynasty China? But no, we all accept Jae (as we should!) but somehow South Asian protagonists are too much 😒
