one time were we talking about his ex cheating right. and I joked and was like yeah no one better cheat on me I'll go to Federal prison. he got viscerally uncomfortable and said very seriously 'okay don't say that.' like he didn't joke back at all and it flagged to me for sure. fast forward about a month I got a hey girl message. he introduced another girl to his mother a week after he introduced me to his mother. cheating the entire time. hahaha. then it hit me why that moment was so weird-he was nervous about what I said/joked bc he WAS cheating on me lol
