I completely understand your perspective. Coming from Sweden, Thailand's heat and humidity must be a huge contrast, especially outside the high season. In general, people usually stay indoors between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM because that's when it gets extremely hot. Visiting during the cooler months (December–February) makes a huge difference. The traffic is also a downside, but I hope you find a destination that’s a perfect match for you!

Complaining about the heat in Thailand is like complaining about snow in Sweden. It makes zero sense. 😅 You can't really judge a tropical country's climate based on European weather. If you came all the way from Sweden to Pattaya..the city of nightlife and entertainment..looking for peace and quiet, that was definitely the wrong choice. There are plenty of places in Thailand that are quiet and peaceful. I think everyone on this planet can easily access the internet to do some basic research before traveling to their destination.

Try coming back to visit Thailand again between December and January. Even though there is no snow, the weather turns cooler. In northern Thailand, temperatures are around 6‑16°C, while other regions average 15‑20°C. There are many wonderful festivals during this time, especially Christmas and the New Year countdown celebrations.
