My kids know they can blame it all on me. Not attending a party, leaving something early, not taking drugs, literally anything. Make me the bad guy. They also know no matter what their doing, weather I agree or not, they can call me at any time from anywhere and I will come get them and bring them home. I am there.

My older kids are 21 and 20 and STILL do this. They don’t even live at home anymore, one married, one getting married in December and will STILL tell their friends “My mom said no.” 🤣🤣

I’ve always told my kids, use me as a scapegoat ANYTIME they’re feeling pressured into an unsafe or uncomfortable situation. Make me the bad guy, send me an emoji of a hotdog and I’ll call and IMMEDIATELY start screaming about some chore they forgot to do and they BETTER get their butt home asap

I can't wait to do this for my son later! or be the one who has to call and dramatically say "what did I tell you before you left? do your chores, pack your stuff I'm on the way" just to go get snacks and watch a movie with him or something 😂

I would rather this then my kids do drugs, but they need to have the courage to say no for the simple reason of they don’t want to. The convenient excuse won’t always be there. Have courage.

My brother will turn 50 this year right before Thanksgiving, but he used to tell everybody that my grandmother made him promise on her deathbed that he would never drink because she died of cirrhosis of the liver. Not only were both our grandmother’s alive but so was our great grandmother.

My daughter would come to me with her friends on speaker, hey mom can I go such and such but she would be shaking her head no, so I'd say something like no I told you we had shii to do. she be like sorry mom said no let me call you back cause now she's yelling at me. hang up, hug me and say thank you. 🤷🏾♀️
