I bury the coconut in my garden. Yes very first time I buried it behind my Junda place. There is a beautiful coconut tree that has grown. Everytime I go to pray at the Junda, I see this tree and I am reminded of Mother. I don't actually believe in taking God away from your home so I don't put it in the sea. Even those big Murthis that people put into the sea after prayer. That get destroyed. It's so sad.

The Coconut used For Kalash Should Not Be Broken and eaten as Prasad at all. Maa Herself Resides In The Coconut after The Devotee Calls Upon Her. It is disrespectful To Maa if The Devotee Breaks The Coconut Which She Still Resides In. The Devotee should tell Maa that He/She/They are about to move The Kalash to Dahao (Let Go) The Coconut in The Sea and then Proceed By doing the Prayer the same day. It can be done the Next Day but don't keep the Coconut at home for too long
