#AD The spiced chia pudding that’s been SAVING my mornings!  Supporting my bone health is one of my goals this year and since  68% of Canadians are not meeting their daily requirement for calcium, I’ve teamed up with Dairy Farmers of Canada to help show you how EASY it can be to add calcium into your diet with milk!  Milk, yogurt and cheese are an efficient and natural sources of calcium that our body can absorb! Just one glass (250mL) of milk provides approximately 1/3 of the recommended calcium intake of an adult 19-50, so incorporating recipes like this spiced chia pudding that uses milk as the base are such an easy way to help support bone health.  Don’t forget to look for the blue cow logo or “product of Canada” on the packaging to know if your milk is made here in Canada!  Spiced chia pudding:  INGREDIENTS * 2 cups (500 mL) milk * 1/4 cup (60 mL) honey * 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) ground ginger * 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) ground cardamom * 1/4 tsp (1 mL) vanilla extract * 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground cinnamon * 1/3 cup (80 mL) black or white chia seeds * 1/3 cup (80 mL) vanilla yogurt * 1/2 cup (125 mL) strawberries or other fresh fruit of the season PREPARATION 1. In a saucepan, heat milk, honey, vanilla and spices over medium heat until milk is steaming. Transfer mixture to a bowl and let sit for 10 minutes. Stir in chia seeds. Refrigerate 12 hours or more. 2. Mix in yogurt. Divide three quarters of the strawberries into four ¾ cup (175 mL) glass bowls. Scoop equal amounts of the chia pudding into each. Top with the remaining strawberries. Learn more at https://whatyoueat.ca/en/articles/calcium-essentials-good-for-your-bones-and-beyond/ #NutritionMonth
