@utahisawesome: Free screenings of "The Lake," a documentary about the shrinking Great Salt Lake, run daily through Thursday at Broadway Centre Cinemas in downtown Salt Lake City. Showings start at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and tickets can be requested through the Salt Lake Film Society website. Utah filmmaker Abby Ellis directed the roughly 90-minute film, which follows scientists and state officials working to slow the lake's decline. A central focus is dust from the exposed lakebed, which carries heavy metals into the air on windy days, Ellis told Fox 13. The film won a Special Jury Award for Impact for Change at the Sundance Film Festival in January. #greatsaltlake #slcnews #naturalutah
Does it say where all the toxic heavy metals in the lake came from .. and ask .. why isn’t Kennecott responsible for cleaning up this environmental disaster?
