On "Green Wave" days, traditional river surfers drop in on short, high-volume foam boards alongside stand-up paddleboarders (SUPs) carving smooth, wide arcs across the glass. When the automated pneumatic gates tilt into "Wave/Hole" mode, the lineup switches over to playboaters in stubby, ultra-maneuverable freestyle kayaks built to loop, cartwheel, and blunt right in the hydraulic notch. Regular river runners in longer creek boats or half-slice kayaks also drift down through the Phase 2 drop structures, using the eddies to practice precise peel-outs and ferrying across the current.
