Have you ever considered the differences between the thoughts in your head and your heart? In my head, my thoughts race wildly, and left unchecked by my heart, they would cause me all kinds of grief like they used to before I knew Jesus. For instance, my head will say "go ahead and tell them what you really think right now!" Where my heart says, "Pray on this, waiting until your anger quiets down so you respond with words of grace and wisdom instead of words you will regret." I find when I listen to the thoughts in my heart, my day goes much better! These thoughts in my heart are the Holy Spirit inside me. Relying on the wisdom of the Holy Spirit and giving my anger to Jesus has helped me to grow and be a better person. "And Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, "Why are you thinking evil in your hearts?" Matthew 9:4 Jesus sees more than our outward actions—He reads the quiet, crowded places of our hearts where fear, doubt, pride, or guilt hide. In Matthew 9:4 He confronts not to shame but to bring light into shadowed places so healing can begin. That same compassionate clarity is for you today. Rather than pretending your inner struggle isn’t there, invite Jesus to look and speak truth into it. When He knows your thoughts, He doesn’t abandon you for them; He exposes them so He can forgive, guide, and transform them. Let that reality free you from pretending or hiding. Confession becomes courage, judgment is replaced by mercy, and the heavy weight of secrecy can be lifted as you yield those thoughts to Him. Trust that His knowledge of you leads not to condemnation but to restoration and peace. Prayer: Jesus, You know the thoughts of my heart—every fear, doubt, and hidden longing. Shine Your light into the places I hide. Give me courage to lay down what is wrong, humility to receive Your forgiveness, and strength to walk in the truth You speak. Transform my thoughts to reflect Your love and bring peace where there has been unrest. Thank You for not turning away but for healing and restoring me. In Your name I pray, Amen. . .
