@travis.woo.wealth: “Unrealized profit isn’t real until you sell.” I think that’s way too simplistic. If an asset you own goes up, your net worth changes. Your equity changes. Your borrowing power can change. Your financial options can change. That matters. At the same time, unrealized gains are not the same as cash. They can disappear. That’s exactly why I count unrealized drawdowns too. If an account is down 50% but you refuse to call it a loss because you haven’t sold yet, that can hide enormous risk. So I look at both sides consistently. If unrealized gains matter, unrealized losses matter too. And yes, realizing gains can create tax consequences depending on the asset, account, holding period, and jurisdiction. That’s why long-term investors often think beyond: “When do I take profit?” They think about compounding, liquidity, taxes, and risk together. Open or closed, the equity still matters. #investing #wealthbuilding #riskmanagement #taxplanning #trading

Well, getting back to the topic at hand, what I think is that you have talked to us about money being able to give you time. You use your time to be with your dog, to travel, to do adventurous things of your liking. Taking time to eat and digest and enjoy your food might be a consideration also? I don’t mind that you talk and debate while eating, but I think your body should have a say in these things also.. What do you think?
