Russell Brand has arrived at Southwark Crown Court for the start of his trial on rape and sexual assault charges. The comedian and actor faces seven charges relating to six women, over alleged offences between 1999 and 2009. These include three counts of rape, three counts of sexual assault and one count of indecent assault. Brand has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The trial is expected to last up to 10 weeks, with jury selection beginning on Monday.
