what if you pay 99% in advance and just leave it there earning interest. what will the bank do? seems like a good return on the interest. spoiler alert, the bank will close the loan asap, cos they losing money due to the interest they will owe you. so yes they will void the contract. no penalties

This is not true. If your contract allows unlimited capital reduction at Westbank, your advance payment reflects on your next statement and deducts from the total amount.

I also called Wesbank 5 years ago and tell them I want pay less interest and pay an extra instalment on my account.Apparently because my loan was over R700 000 or it is a Company I never received any interest benefit. Why did the consultant not told me that my money will lying there for 5 years. They also request the call type from me.
