@rumii_wisdom: Nizar Qabbani was one of the most celebrated poets of the Arab world, born in 1923 in Damascus, Syria, whose words transformed love, longing, heartbreak, and desire into some of the most beautiful verses of modern Arabic poetry. Deeply shaped by personal loss, the complexities of love, and the changing world around him, he became a voice for those who struggled to express the deepest feelings of the human heart. Yet Qabbani's poetry reached far beyond romance, exploring the pain of separation, the loneliness of longing, the struggle for freedom, and the quiet sorrow of loving someone we cannot always keep. His words possessed a rare tenderness and honesty, finding beauty in the smallest gestures of affection and giving language to emotions that often remain unspoken. Through works such as Childhood of a Breast and Drawing with Words, Qabbani left behind a legacy that continues to touch hearts across generations, reminding us that love can be both our greatest joy and our deepest sorrow, and that even when people leave our lives, the feelings they awaken within us can remain long after they are gone... #wisdom #knowledge #freedom #life #words
