@dailymail: New York City has introduced a new 'click-to-cancel' rule aimed at ending the hassle of getting out of unwanted subscriptions. Effective October 1, businesses including gyms and streaming services must make cancellation as straightforward as signing up, using the same method customers originally chose. Companies that break the rule could face penalties of up to $3,500 for repeated violations and may have to refund customers charged after attempting to cancel. The city estimates the change could save New Yorkers millions of dollars each year. #newyork #nyc #mamdani #usa #news
