“Okay so the first agenda of the day is to delegate the work, we haven't segregated everyone in teams yet. So I expect everyone to be honest with the workload you can handle.” Lena pulls out a pen and her file, glancing at the list of names. “There's a few teams we will separate into. There's the hallway management, disciplinary action, and announcements.” She slowly glances around the table. “Any takers?” The room was silent for a while, causing her to sigh and speak up again. “Jan, Jingjing, Kapook and Ciize. I assume since you've been in council for two years, and are the seniors of this batch. Can you handle hallway management since you're both more familiar with the school?” The four girls nodded with a smile. “For announcements, we'll have the freshmen do it. Oom and Bam, are you okay with working together? Announcements consist of being meticulous and gathering the information about the upcoming week, and morning assemblies everyday.” Oom and Bam glanced nervously at each other, slightly unsure of how to respond. “Hmm, usually there's only two for announcements but since you're both new, Lingling can you join them? I'll handle disciplinary action on my own this year, no worries.” Lingling was usually paired with Lena, but Lena gives her a reassuring nod. “That leaves me and you Natsha.” Lena finally ends off, eyes glancing at Miu. “Hope we work well together.” Miu swallows before nodding, slightly unsure why she bit her tongue back from retorting. “Okay.” - The meeting was quick and efficient, ending promptly at 8.25, five minutes earlier than scheduled. “Alright, I'll send the files before our meeting in the afternoon. Form up in your groups and take it from there, any issues let me know.” They dispersed, returning to their classes. Miu takes another sip of her ice latte, eyes glancing over at the council president. It's the first time she ever felt this way. She's always gotten anything, everything, she’s ever wanted. No questions asked, no rebuttals. People would practically beg to serve her. But Lena Schuett? Her demeanor, the air around her shifts. When Lena speaks, everyone listens. Her words held a sense of authority, no spite, no aggression. Just a tone that commanded respect. Miu stares, longer than she'd like to. Something was alluring about her, was it the way her hair flowed effortlessly down her shoulders? Or was it the way her eyes looked like she could bore a hole through her soul. Miu thinks she should stop staring. “Miu.” Shit. Miu turns around, her typical chic expression plastered on her face. “Lena.” “1.30pm. I'll see you at the student council room.” Miu plays with her newly manicured tip of her fingers, and without looking up, she answers, “Alright, I'll be there.” “Don't be late.” Miu frowns, before looking up with a coy smile. One that always worked wonders. “Don't tell me what to do Miss Schuett.” With a tight lipped smile, Miu walks to her class, her step holding more weight than usual. Class was boring, Miu already knew this topic. It wasn't hard by any means, but she definitely notices all the stares she received. Miu loved the attention, don't get her wrong, but sometimes she thinks that her classmates should pay more attention to the topic instead of her. “Miu, would you like to solve for x?” Miu clenches her teeth together before swallowing a sigh. What a waste of time. She stands up, a rehearsed smile on her lips, “Of course, x is 15.” Her math teacher’s face lights up, a bright smile on his face. “Wonderful, both pretty and smart I see.” Miu cringed inwardly, what a nasty old man. But of course, as the campus princess, all she did was let out a chuckle, and took her seat. <continuation in comments> #lenamiu #gl #wlw #oneshot #fanfic
