I thought I needed to say that Syd inspired me to choose to live. I am someone who had unfortunate events in my life however none of them were physically deadly but it had worn me down and I’ve always been someone who didn’t enjoy existing from young age I had thoughts of “I just wish I never existed to begin with” I also always wondered why people like Syd who wanted to live so much have life robbed from them and people who don’t enjoy existing like me are forced to live, if it were possible I always wanted to donate my life to people like Syd but since it’s impossible I’m only left to acknowledge the privilege of life. Syd doesn’t know how many lives she touched she changed my perspective so much I am inspired to actually get myself up and try to make something out of my life that I’m privileged to live I just hope this beautiful girl is in better place now pain free🤍

Shortly before my sissy died we talked about all the ways she would visit. She made me promise to put a hummingbird feeder outside of every bedroom window I have and she would visit. 18 years in a row I have kept good on my promise and so has she. Every year she dances in my windowsill and every time it makes my heart stop. My sissy was always happiest in the sun. One of the songs we played at her memorial was Ben Harpers "Shes Only Happy in the Sun" she also told me that if I closed my eyes and blew kisses to the sun the warmth I felt from the sun would be her blowing kisses back. I would like to think Syd and my sissy are in nothing but sunshine together waiting till we can see them again. Gentle hugs mama and make sure you blow lots of kisses to the sunshine.
