I think it looks great. I would add a plastic or rubber washer in between the pole and the side in case it loosens little. you're not here and it's squeak non-stop and metal on metal will chew through that aluminum very quickly. use a very large washer on the bolt so it doesn't pull through the pole

i would've personally made the poles slightly shorter so the lights dangle a little. even with the tension cable they would be like at an angle. but idk
