@qmpdaily: LONG BEACH, Calif. – Residents returned to the Long Beach Peninsula Sunday morning to check on the status of their homes as powerful waves continued to pound the shoreline amid coastal flooding concerns. Eight structures across 13 addresses have been red-tagged, with another yellow-tagged, according to City News Service. Mandatory evacuations remain in effect for homes along Seaside Walk’s 6400 and 6500 blocks. A coastal flood warning remains in effect through 3 p.m. Sunday, with 4- to 7-foot waves and tides exceeding 7.5 feet expected. Oh my god this is so bad. I never seen it like this. I was raised at the beach Newport. I just can't believe this but one thing we always had flood insurance no matter what we were on the Peninsula but oh my God I pray that everybody has flood insurance because your homeowner insurance does not cover this.
