He’s a timid dog who often reacts out of fear, but he shows clear curiosity when given a quiet moment. When approached in his kennel, he slowly came forward, not seeking pets but simply trying to understand who was there for him. He’s a very cool soul if you let him be, and he deserves a chance to feel safe and get the care he needs. Abnormal hindlimb gait. Sedated for oral exam/radiographs but remained too alert and attempted to bite; mouth exam and pelvic/hindlimb X-rays could not be completed. Thoracic/lumbar X-rays showed spondylosis. Start oral Carprofen and Gabapentin 10/11. FDT scheduled for 10/14 at 11 AM. Unable to weigh or administer Bordetella/Vectra. 10/11: Resting quietly, eating, no vomiting or hypersalivation; appears stable. FDT due. Adoption Exam: Altered, tattoo/scar present. Rabies, Bordetella, flea/HW prevention, and Pyrantel given. The owner confined Lucky to a room and contacted DAS for assistance. Upon arrival, Lucky displayed aggressive behavior, including growling and barking at the officer.
