Ohhh girl.. I feel you and I see you.. sending a whole bunch of love. All we can do is live life the way they wanted us to. Talk about them, celebrate them.. all the things. Going through the thick of it💪🫵❤️

Stephen Wilson JR has the best song about Grief. Have a listen. I lost my dad in 2017. He was my best friend, mentor, coach and obviously father. Proud to have been his son. Lots of love

I know some days are harder than others, especially when you find yourself thinking about your dad and wishing things in life may have had turned out a little bit different. I imagine there are moments when you wonder what he would think of where you are today, or whether your life is unfolding the way he would have hoped. But please remember that your story is still being written, and just because things haven’t fallen into place quite as you anticipated just yet doesn’t mean they never will. You still have so much life left to live, happiness left to discover, and beautiful chapters ahead of you, I bet. I hope you can give yourself the same grace and encouragement your dad would want for you, because one difficult season with some poor choices simply doesn’t define the rest of your life.

This is something I hold dear, you never forget the pain of the loss, you merely learn to live with it.

It’s like slowly packing up a suitcase with grief packing it all nice and organized as it can be. Closing it knowing it’s time to take it out. You pick it up and carry it outside but realize it has nowhere else to go. No vacation spot to drop it off and leave it. So you drag it all back in. And slowly unpack it all again. Then hit repeat. It’s a never ending destination, for sure.

I feel that 🩷 it’s been just about 14 years since I lost my dad and there still isn’t a day that I don’t think of him. How proud he would be of my girls, how excited he would be to be in the stands watching hockey/softball/volleyball. But I believe he is watching and always has a presence in our lives 💜

I’ve known 3 women who have lost their husbands. The longest it took to replace their husband was 18 months. Women replace their husbands either through divorce or death as quickly as possible
