had the same fear but honestly mine is growing back manageable and looks like an intentional hairstyle! I just trim it to form to the growth... also went smaller for the same reason small c cup and am loving how they are turning out so far!

After my double mastectomy I decided to stay flat. No more surgeries for me. I was done!!! I was 59 years old & just don’t care about boobs any more. 😂😂

Your hair will grow in, it will take awhile. Then you don’t know if chemo curls are coming your way or not. I wouldn’t do reconstruction

For me getting new boobs wasn’t just about the boobs. It is a physical symbol of healing not just physical but also from the trauma of cancer. I had several complications during reconstruction but I kept going not because I’m vain but because for ME it means something more than just boobs.

Texturizing product on grow out works great! 🤣 I am bald for the second time. I do wear wigs, and I get compliments all the time on my "hair" from strangers. 🙂 When my hair grew back the first time, it was silver and still straight. I used texturizing powder on it and rocked a *great* pixie! I loved it! 😁

I had implants for 7 years after my dbl mastectomy…then had them removed. Went with an aesthetic flat closure and haven’t looked back (wanted to go flat initially but docs don’t love that choice)…haven’t worn a bra in 13 years, both w/and without the implants. There is no wrong choice, even if you change your mind 😉
