Backing up Manny. You’re describing a 94M, more or less. I was a 94F. It was probably the least specific of the 94 series. It was kinda a ‘and the rest of the gear’ MOS, but the Army wanted them because, as you eluded , they could be used as general IT bitches. However the work was definitely not high speed. Manage the unit CO and Staff’s computers, BDTs, ICAMs, NVGs, maintain and fill radios if there wasn’t a 94e…etc. but if anything really broke it was sent to depot. But I would agree that the entire 94 series is either too military specific or too basic to translate to civilian markets.
