I’m 72. I remember being grade school age, probably 65 years ago, asking my mother where she was going. “I’m off to cancel your father’s vote”. Oh, who’re you voting for? “That’s my business.” It kinda stuck with me. We’re not going back.

Mom (liberal) would talk about driving into town to go vote, Dad (ultra Conservative) would say ‘we’d cancel each other out’…..and then suddenly in the afternoon on Election Day, Dad had to immediately go to town to go ‘pick up something important’. Yes, he was going to go vote w/out Mom. I know & SHE KNEW she could’ve gone by herself but in a volatile relationship, she knew to not challenge. I vote💙 for her (RIP).
