he was only saying it was short because that was the call... he's not going to say he made it because players get in trouble for questioning the refs. that's the job of the coaches.

You know how on a punt that goes out bounds in the air and a ref runs up the sidelines until another ref that followed the flight of the football tells him to stop? That is the point that the ball went out of bounds. Same applies here.

It’s not. As soon as the ball crosses the white line it’s out of bounds. Just like a punt. End zone rules are different
