@japdmedia26: SANTA ANA, California — A 26-year-old passenger waiting for a Delta flight to Seattle was taken into custody after causing a major security breach at John Wayne Airport. Authorities reported that the passenger entered the restricted airfield through Gate 12 around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Once on the tarmac, he stole an Alaska Airlines tug vehicle and drove across the ramp. The vehicle was driven a short distance before it crashed into a ground service cart near Gate 7. Moments later, the man attempted to steal an American Airlines lavatory truck before Airport Police officers intervened and arrested him. The suspect was taken to a local hospital for medical evaluation. Officials confirmed the area near Gate 7 was briefly closed for about 10 minutes, but overall airport operations experienced minimal disruption. Law enforcement officials charged the suspect with vehicle theft, vandalism, and airport trespassing. #SantaAna #California #UnitedStates #JohnWayneAirport #japd
