@explorewithfestus_: Denmark will pay you about €50,000 a year to move there and do a PhD 🇩🇰 And there are multiple PhD positions open RIGHT NOW. At Danish universities, many PhD candidates are salaried employees rather than students surviving on a small stipend. Current University of Copenhagen openings include: 🤖 Generative AI 🧬 Stem cell research 💉 Vaccines + immunity ⚛️ Quantum optics 🌱 Plant science 🧪 Chemistry 📊 Mathematics + statistics 💻 Natural language processing 🌏 Asian studies + more Current UCPH PhD adverts list starting pay around €4,200/month gross, roughly €50,000/year. But understand this clearly: these are competitive JOB vacancies. You must match the specific research project. How it works: 1️⃣ Find a PhD vacancy matching your degree/research experience. 2️⃣ Many regular PhD positions require a relevant Master’s degree. 3️⃣ Apply with your CV, degree certificates, transcripts, application/research statement and other documents requested. 4️⃣ If selected, you are employed while completing the PhD. 👨‍👩‍👧 FAMILY: Eligible spouses/partners and children under 18 can accompany a PhD student. Even better, an accompanying spouse can WORK in Denmark without applying for a separate work permit. 🇩🇰 AFTER THE PhD: This is where Denmark gets interesting. From 1 October 2026, Denmark cut the normal post-study job-search period for many international graduates from 3 years to 1 year. BUT PhD graduates were specifically exempted. A Danish PhD graduate can still receive up to 3 YEARS to look for work. Some current deadlines: 10 Oct → Generative AI 12 Oct → Stem Cells + Vaccines 14 Oct → Quantum 18 Oct → Catalysis 30 Oct → Chemistry 1 Nov → Mathematics + Korean Studies 8 Nov → NLP Apply: employment.ku.dk/phd Need more funded/salaried PhD opportunities?
