I worked and still working on my CV. Literally just had a portfolio. Now I’m being told or learnt, about having your own website where you can upload your own portfolio. I envy my friend but I believe I’ll get there soon and even bigger and better

I created my portfolio from scratch on Canva again last month. Learned VA from Digital Witch Academy in 2023, got my ALX certificate in 2024, and then took a short-term rental management course. I've been on several work sites and still don't have a job yet; it's not easy, but I know I'm getting it.

I literally had this conversation with a stay at home mom on TikTok here who wanted me to put her on, at that time I wasn’t even charging but I told her she must be ready to create content to position herself for visibility while learning, only for mama to tell me she’s a private person and she believes certain things about one’s life should be kept private. Na once I block am😂

They won't understand all of that. A friend once asked me to teach her the job, and I told her I couldn't because I'm still job hunting and haven't had a job since I finished my training in May, but I could introduce her to my coach to learn from. She felt I was being wicked.

My workplace recently had an opening for a digital marketing intern, I sent it to someone who I know is job hunting. 5 days later, I asked her if she sent in her application, she said she didn’t because she has been so busy. She wants me to let her know if another opportunity comes up 😂😂

This is it, 100% I don't coach friends and family. I refer them to someone else who can coach them. And no, this doesn't mean I'm wicked. I'm busy, and honestly, some people come with a sense of familiarity and a lazy mindset, expecting that because you're already working, you'll do everything for them and even get them a job. Some nights, I stay awake until daybreak. I've been doing this for over 3 years. I'm working, coaching people, and still learning new things myself. Honestly, this journey is not easy. 😩
