Federico Valverde had a grade-three ankle sprain. Weeks on the sideline, said the medical report. Then he played. And got an 8 out of 10. Atletico Madrid posted a sarcastic response saying the global medical community must have been wrong. They're not wrong to ask the question. Real Madrid won 1-0 against Villarreal. Valverde was fine. The ankle was fine. The rivalry just got louder. Atletico called out the grade-three sprain timeline publicly. Was that a legitimate medical challenge or just rivalry gamesmanship dressed up as concern? #RealMadrid #LaLiga #ThirdRailSports - @thirdrailsports
