If it's for the exclusive benefit of students from the EU I don't see why the EU couldn't offer the subsidy, given that it does for its own universities

quite misleading video. EU students have almost disappeared from UK universities, if what the video suggests happens, this will be a great incentive to bring back some EU students.

This video is misleading. As a British academic I can confirm that after Brexit the number of EU students FELL TO ALMOST ZERO. This means that we can only GET MORE money, not less, from offering the same fees as UK residents. Certainly we won’t lose money - that money is long gone.
