i understand this sm and sometimes i regret my decisions too, but then i think about how if i never made those decisions i probably wouldnt have learned the things i know now or be the person i am today. things couldve turned out better or worse, we’ll never know. i think sometimes we dwell so much on what didnt happen that we start creating scenarios in our heads and living in the what ifs, imagining how our lives couldve been and getting attached to a future that never even happened. and the thing is, we always imagine the best possible outcome because its what we wanted so badly, but we never consider that things couldve gone horribly wrong too. we convince ourselves that we lost something that wouldve made us happy without ever knowing if it actually wouldve. sometimes the things we want so badly arent even good for us in the long run, but because we’re so attached to the idea of having them, we struggle to see any outcome other than the one we wanted. things couldve been better, yes, but they also couldve been so much worse. we’ll never know, and i think thats something we have to learn to accept. we cant expect ourselves to get everything right on the first try or know whats best for us every single time. every decision comes with risks and lessons, and even when things dont work out the way we wanted, it doesnt mean we made the wrong decision. sometimes we just have to accept that we made the best decision we could with what we knew at the time, learn from it and keep going. because just because we can imagine a better outcome doesnt mean thats what wouldve actually happened please guys take care of yourself and your mental health ❤️.
