$Kelly Clarkson is standing her ground after a Brooklyn shop pushed back against her claim that she was treated unfairly during a shopping trip. The singer recently accused Art of Play, a curiosity store in Brooklyn Heights, of making her feel as though she couldn't afford an item she wanted to buy. She compared the experience to Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman, the famous film about a woman being judged in a luxury store. Clarkson said she had asked about a singing bird displayed on the wall. According to her, an employee told her the item cost $15,000 and offered to find something comparable instead. She claimed the employee's tone felt condescending and accused the shop of misrepresenting what happened. But the store has now offered a different version of events. In a new Instagram statement, Art of Play said Clarkson spent just five minutes inside. The shop explained that the bird, named Molly, was permanently attached to the wall and served as its mascot. According to the store, the creator owned a nearly identical version and was willing to sell it for $15,000. Staff also claimed they offered to show Clarkson another singing bird, priced at around $2,000, but she left before seeing it. The shop said it had contacted Clarkson directly in hopes of resolving the disagreement. It also expressed hope that both sides could eventually laugh about the misunderstanding. Clarkson has yet to respond to the latest statement. She has previously said she supports small businesses but believes customers should always be treated with kindness. Now, a brief shopping trip has turned into a public dispute over something every customer deserves: respect. \#KellyClarkson #CelebrityNews #PrettyWoman #HollywoodNews #viraldrama$
