People should normalize carrying a recorder with them. My former supervisor had one and recorded every conversation and then used it against the company for a lawsuit. He won 160k

I got promoted to store manager in mid July, the height of back to school. District manager fired one of my full time assistants, one associate quite, I fired a part time assistant because she was caught stealing. All my other associates ended up starting school 3 weeks later and had limited availability, my remaining assistant kept calling off. Instead of putting my employees through stress, I was working double shifts, 6 days a week.

I worked for a company that did this so often the board instituted a new rule: every moved pto week gave the employer an extra $1000. somehow all the bosses found other ways to solve their issues than move employers vacation. also, you were allowed to say no to any moved pto. if it was approved it was approved.

I got stuck on a cruise ship for 5 extra days d/t a hurricane that changed course. My 2nd jobs boss asked me “How bad do you need this job” I said “Not bad enough to swim!” (Still had my job when I got back) 😂
