It’s just casuals. Casuals are very reactionary and week by week determines how good/bad a player is. Even had Drake Maye continued to suck these past 2 weeks, it doesn’t define him there has been so many qbs that were awful or inconsistent that ended up being all time greats like Big Ben or Eli Manning

As a Pats fan, it was disgusting seeing all of the other Pats "fans" claiming he was washed and needed to go. Fake ass posers. I said the SAME thing. When someone has shown you what their ceiling MIGHT be and its THAT HIGH, you dont pull the plug on him after a rough start.

It’s because no one can cope with the fact that the Patriots have their guy at QB. They will tell themselves anything to believe the man won’t pan out. And it honestly disappoints me how much Pats fans get involved in the banter because 90% of the fans downplaying Maye root for a team with a far worse QB. The goal posts always move for the Patriots and I frankly love when the rest of the NFL hates us.

Because people want to pretend that pats fans are blinded by team loyalty. It’s a continuation of haven’t won since vinateri. Stupid argument. Everyone else wants to pretend pats fans have crowned the next Brady, when pats fans are like ‘we need another 5 seasons of Mahomes to start the convo’. The pats dynasty broke people fully. That dynasty had the greatest season of qb play, wide receiver play, tight end play. Period full stop. Either accept that that’s one of the greatest runs a team in any sport has ever had, or (said as a Red Sox fan) the Yankees 1990s wasn’t one of the greatest runs of a team in history. I hate them, so much, but the 90s Yankees were historic. The pats 2000-2020 were historic. We’re not glazing Maye, we think of him like the bills fans thought of Allen at that point in his career. Maye is compared to Brady, Allen is compared to what? Kelly? We got a franchise qb after missing with jones. We’re happy we have that question solved. No different than bills relief when they hit on Allen.
