Where the heck does that extra door in the First closet go to behind the shelves? If I owned the space, I’d redo it. There’s really no room for a living space. I’d knock wall out on the second bedroom downstairs and the kitchen. This would open that whole area up. Then build a nice living area by the windows and incorporate an island into a larger kitchen space. That would give you the additional space to put in a decent stairwell.
