![Full Recipe↓ Day 72/100 | YAKINIKU DON 🛒 INGREDIENTS: Servings: 2 - Rice: 2 bowls (2 * 220g) - Beef*: 250g [Sauce] - Ginger: 1 knob - Garlic: clove - Sesame oil: 1/2 tbsp - Ground toasted sesame seeds: 1 tbsp - White wine: 2 tbsp - Sugar: 1 1/2 tbsp - Soy sauce: 2 tbsp [For garnish] - Chives * Ribeye, striploin or any well-marbled cut works best. 🧑🍳 METHOD: 1. Slice the beef into 5–8 mm thick pieces. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together the seasoning ingredients. 3. Heat a pan over medium-high heat and pan-fry the beef until nicely browned on both sides. 4. Pour the sauce into the pan, tossing to coat the beef, and let it simmer for 30–60 seconds to cook off the alcohol. 5. Serve the beef over a bowl of warm rice, spoon over any remaining pan juices, and garnish with chopped chives. 💡 KEY POINTS: - In this recipe, we're swapping traditional Sake and Mirin for white wine and sugar in a certain conversion formula. As a Japanese home cook, I assure you it works perfectly to replicate the authentic taste. Only one simple rule you need to follow: 👉 Make sure to use a DRY and LOW-ACIDITY WINE (e.g. Pinot Gris). A cheap one is fine, but avoid using fruity wine. ⛩️ TRADITIONAL OPTION: Swap 2 tbsp white wine for 1 tbsp sake and 1 tbsp mirin, and reduce sugar from 1 1/2 tbsp to 1 tbsp. ⚠️ DISCLAIMER: Not affiliated with or endorsed by TESCO. #yakiniku #JapaneseRecipes #JapaneseCooking #EasyRecipe #Tesco](/video/cover/7685546365451013398.webp)
