Gen Z is already exhausted, and it's not because they need a nap. There are some key stressors shaping daily life for young adults right now, and it's making many feel burned out far before their time. Trying to save money feels impossible with rising rent, student loan debt, and high living costs. Finding a secure job in a competitive market, while facing age-based stereotypes about being entitled or lazy, adds another layer of pressure. Nevertheless, many Gen Z workers are putting in long hours, juggling multiple jobs, and still struggling to get ahead. Screen time is another major factor. Work, school, friendships, dating, and even activism all happen online, making it hard to unplug. At the same time, constant exposure to news, politics, and global crises increases emotional fatigue. Add in perfectionism, pressure to meet beauty and clothing standards, and the high cost of college or graduate school, and burnout becomes almost inevitable. And on top of that, finding affordable community spaces and ways to connect and socialize is becoming increasingly impossible. It's important to remember that everything is cyclical, and things WILL get better eventually. But in the meantime, it's easy to feel like the pressure is so high that taking a step back will make it all fall apart. But rest, taking breaks from the news, social media and all the crises has never been more important. We will get through this, but only if we take care of ourselves. #GenZ #Burnout #stress #MentalHealth #selfcare
