Send me an email, email in bio 📩 That text decoding out of stars is not a font. It's a scramble reveal, and it takes 8 rules: 1. Every letter starts as a random glyph from a small set like * # % & /. 2. Letters lock in from left to right. The whole line takes 1.2s, so each letter's delay is 1.2 / length. Long lines speed up instead of dragging. 3. Unlocked letters reshuffle every 30ms, not every frame. Every frame turns into flicker. 4. Spaces stay spaces. The words keep their shape, so people read it before it finishes. 5. Pick glyphs about as wide as letters, or the line jumps while it decodes. 6. Start it with an IntersectionObserver at threshold 0.5. Once only. 7. Put the real sentence in aria-label and hide the letter spans with aria-hidden, so screen readers read it once. 8. prefers-reduced-motion skips straight to the final text.
