@kamaljahid: The difference no one talks about: UK: Intelligence often signals wealth / elite education. Poland: Intelligence feels... normal. For everyone. Not about IQ. About what school expects from you. Reading lists, maths levels, what's normal to discuss. Why does a random conversation in Poland feel more intellectually curious? Polish people - do you feel this too?

It's absolutely education and culture, the British aren't taught their own history not to mention the history of Europe and the world

I've heard from few people when families come back to Poland from UK and kids started school some teachers don't hide it and say to parents that their kids are way behind with the school program and need extra lessons to keep up with the program. Also in Poland every subject is mandatory. It's not like in UK that you can choose chemistry but no physics or geography over history. In Poland you need to do all those subjects.

Of course. We all got exactly the same education in school and in home. Studies are for free so it's up to you where you will finish in your life. Money is not making you high they are making you only reach. People on level you recognise from they behavior

I think it is not only education. There was an article that language itself forces people in Poland to think in different more complex way, all of that due to conplicated language structure.

I come form one of the poorest backgrounds in Poland and I can comfortably fit with the “elite” in the uk (and I have ) and they only know I’m foreign, and hardly that. They definitely didn’t notice I was poor! [Tears of joy][Tears of joy][Tears of joy] It was hilarious!!

My daughter's friend is polish, she goes back home to Poland every opportunity her parents get but they're not going to move back to Poland until she finishes to her education in the UK. if the polish education is better than why not moved now

yeah polish schools are better and are more strict and more sorted out in the UK the schools are like kindergarten all the way till the end 😅 IV learned in both
