This meme uses a Family Guy animation loop to make a point about US-Cuba history. *Top Text: "How USA Treated Cuba Just To Prove Communism Doesn't Work:"* The video shows: *Character 1: USA* - Represented by Peter Griffin dressed as Uncle Sam, wearing the American flag hat and holding a machine gun / bazooka with the US flag over him. *Character 2: Cuba* - Represented as a wooden barn with the Cuban flag on it, being built by a group of small workers (Cubans). The loop is: USA shoots / blows up the barn, then the Cuban workers rebuild it from the rubble, then USA destroys it again. Here are the 3 events it shows: *1. Bay of Pigs Invasion (1961)* After Fidel Castro's 1959 revolution, the US CIA trained and funded 1,400 Cuban exiles to invade Cuba and overthrow Castro. The invasion landed at the Bay of Pigs on April 17, 1961 and failed in 3 days. It strengthened Castro's position and pushed Cuba closer to the Soviet Union. *2. Operation Mongoose (1961-1962)* A secret CIA covert operation authorized by President Kennedy after the Bay of Pigs failure. It included sabotage, economic warfare, psychological operations, and multiple assassination attempts against Castro to destabilize the Cuban government. It was a major reason Cuba agreed to host Soviet missiles. *3. Cuban Missile Crisis (1962)* In October 1962, US U-2 spy planes discovered Soviet nuclear missiles in Cuba. The US imposed a naval blockade/quarantine. For 13 days the world was on the brink of nuclear war. The crisis ended with a deal: USSR removed missiles from Cuba, US secretly removed missiles from Turkey and promised not to invade Cuba. The point of the meme is: The animation argues that Cuba's economic hardships weren't just because of its internal system, but also because of decades of external pressure, invasion attempts, sabotage, and the ongoing US embargo (since 1962), which made it very hard to build/rebuild - hence the barn getting shot every time they rebuild it.
