@drjoedamiani: 🔥 Shoulder pain from sitting on the couch? Your shoulder muscles may need better coordination! Shoulder pain isn't always caused by tight muscles or joint restrictions. Sometimes the problem is weakness or poor coordination between the muscles that control your shoulder blade and shoulder joint. 💡 Here's what's happening: Your shoulder relies on something called scapulohumeral rhythm, which is the coordinated movement between your shoulder blade and upper arm. ⚡ External rotation helps position and control your shoulder joint. ⚡ Scaption trains your arm to elevate in a natural plane of shoulder movement. ⚡ Scapular retraction activates muscles that help stabilize and control your shoulder blades. 🛠️ Exercise shown: 3-part band progression ✅ STEP 1: ROTATE OUT Hold a resistance band with your elbows bent at your sides. Pull your hands outward, keeping your elbows close to your body. ✅ STEP 2: PUNCH UP Maintain tension in the band as you raise your arms toward shoulder height, gradually straightening them into a wider position. ✅ STEP 3: OVERHEAD Y Continue lifting your arms overhead into a Y position, keeping tension in the band while allowing your shoulder blades to rotate upward naturally. 🔥 Why this matters: Instead of strengthening each muscle separately, this exercise combines multiple shoulder movements into one coordinated sequence. This helps train the shoulder joint and shoulder blade to move together rather than relying on isolated muscle activation. The goal is to improve scapulohumeral rhythm, muscular coordination, and control so your entire shoulder complex works together more efficiently. #ShoulderPain #ShoulderExercises #ScapulohumeralRhythm #ShoulderStrength #ShoulderMobility

doctor I have a really bad pain on my neck and on the base of my skull. It burns so bad and it causes pressure and pain, it feels like I can’t move my neck sometimes and it’s really heavy and painful and it’s making me nauseous. I got an MRI and they’re not sure if it’s from muscle problems or if it’s from a nerve issue. What do you think? Especially with the symptoms I gave you like the pain is from my neck all the way to the base of my skull and it creates insane heat 24 seven and then it goes all the way to the rest of my head, causing me headache, and my head is always burning.
