i know it's a stretch but let Grant play Max Mercury, i could see him playing that mentor role for speedsters and he doesn't even have to be old, he could be in his mid 30s since he jumps through time and could be around for Bart's, Wally's, Barry's and even Jay's era, connecting all these generations of speedsters.

As much as I like Grant I understand this perspective, however I feel like it’s unfair to keep going on the fact that he had “9 seasons” as if he didn’t get terrible at worst and mediocre at best material post S4, I don’t think it’s crazy for Grant fans to desire him to play a more seasoned Barry

Biggest jumpscare ever man I thought this was a lukewarm Batman take not a flash thing, especially THIS Flash. That being said it’s the best take on this specific side of the topic. The reason The Flash so got so bad was because they had Grant. They knew they didn’t have to do anything. People still watched BECAUSE of Grant. Show wouldn’t have been 9 seasons long if it weren’t for him. With that also being said I do disagree with that analogy you used with Hal. Man’s hella glazed beyond belief. The dude is The Flash people know and love. He really is THAT guy. But yeah, A good view on this specific topic.

Thank you! Someone gets it. Like Grant has 9 whole seasons worth of content as The Flash plus arrow verse crossovers and people still want more. Not only would it confuse people who get into the DCU but its already been debunked by James Gunn. Having a new actor to play the character makes it fresh and brings more potential as well as something generally new. The Cw Flash Fans are very frustrating to deal with as a Flash fan. W take. Personally I think having both Barry and Wally as The Flash in the DCU in their Prime instead of sidelining either one would do both fanbases well and prove to DC that the dynamic can work if done well. James Gunn did say in an interview that he likes both Blonde and Redheads so who knows.
