As a vet tech, buy the expensive stuff from the vet. Fleas are more immune to the over the counter stuff. Bravecto is amazing and only have to apply every three months. Ask your techs what they’ve found works best in your area, sometimes fleas in one area are more resistant to certain meds. Capstar is crazy though.

As a vet nurse you need to treat them and your house for the whole life cycle of the flea which is 3 months. You are in for the long haul. Lots of vacuuming and steam mopping.

Get all your cats on revolution Plus which is a flea, tick and heartworm prevention. If they’re going to be indoor/outdoor you should definitely have them on flea,tick and heartworm prevention. Especially since heartworm is transmitted by mosquitoes and there’s no cure for heartworm disease in cats.

You need to treat your whole house too not just the animals as it will just become a full grown infestation. Use only the vet treatments and the expensive home flea treatments they can live in the baseboards or any tiny little gaps

so all the cats must be treated (get meds that treat the entire cycle), the home, and treat your yard. also vacuum regularly!!
