Ekow Bedu "Redemption" :
For example, becoming an accountant, a doctor, or an engineer requires a great deal of technical knowledge, training, and practical experience. In my opinion, law is less demanding in terms of technical and practical training compared with these professions, but people fail to recognise that.
Even someone with an SSCE qualification can aspire to study law, provided they meet the admission requirements. However, becoming a qualified accountant, electrical engineer, mechanical engineer, or doctor requires specialised knowledge and rigorous professional training.
It would be extremely difficult for a lawyer to switch careers and become an accountant, electrical engineer, or doctor without undergoing the necessary education and professional training. These fields require specific technical skills that cannot be acquired simply by reading books.
Lawyers may be highly knowledgeable in their own field, but let us not pretend that every profession requires the same kind of training. Reading and interpreting the law is one thing; mastering the technical and practical skills required in engineering, medicine, and accounting is another. Let us give every profession the respect it deserves.
