@mactaskforce: A professor who shared a call to stab “Zionists” is now suing to overturn Arkansas’ antisemitism law. Dr. Shirin Saeidi was fired after sharing a violent post which praised Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and called for Israel’s dismantlement. Despite a unanimous faculty committee recommendation to reinstate her, the university upheld her dismissal. This lawsuit, and the unanimous decision by the faculty committee, both call into question the University of Arkansas’s culture of antisemitism. Though policy did its job to keep this individual with violent ideology out of academia, what does it say that her peers wanted to excuse it?
