i saw a vid by a psychologist that made me feel a lot better about having low energy phases. he said that people dont have to be doing something extraordinary to be liked and made the comparison to kitties. kitties don't really do anything super amazing to make us like them - we just like them bc they're good! they're cute! and people are also like that too

hey genuinely thank you so much for this post my capacity has gone down by more than half in the last 6 months or so and my partner has had to pick up every type of slack you could name because of it and i’ve been struggling so much with feeling guilty & burdensome and this gave me another better perspective and really helped me feel better 🩷

My ex-husband tried to use the excuse of my health was to much for him and thats why he cheated and left. So this is helpful.

I love doing acts of kindness for people, yet I struggle so much asking for acts of kindness in return. I am my own worst enemy sometimes

Would some people really rather be alone than with a partner they need to care for?? Do they not understand love and comfort doesn’t have to walk and talk all day? It can be quietly waiting in a cozy room for you after all the chaos 🥰🥰

my husband was the light of my life. he brought joy and laughter and interesting stories and creativity. I used to tell him all the time "you worked so hard your whole life, and you took care of me when you could, your only job now is to make me laugh and you do that all the time" the hole he left in my life is enormous.

Thanks so much for your responses. Sometimes my self doubt can make these things feel insignificant, but it’s refreshing to think about the beauty of simple companionship

This is making me so emotional 🩷🩷 as someone who became disabled within the past year and a half this transition has been really hard. It’s so scary to think about what the future holds, especially for love and acceptance. This is such a good reminder, everyone’s worthy of love and devotion 🩷🩷
