I had a doctor tell me that I was perfectly fine and then I was in the ER less than 24 hours later hooked up to an IV and medication!! still have pain in my back where my kidney is 9 months later!

I went septic once thinking it wasn't that bad. Now I'm at the doctor's if I even have a hint of a UTI.

I had this happen and my doctors didn't take me seriously... not even when my kidneys were shutting down and my pee looked like syrup. ended up in a coma on a ventilator with multi organ failure. scary how fast it can turn.

I went septic due to a kidney infection. Ended up in the hospital the nurse was a good friend until they gave me strong pain meds and apparently I told her our husband where sleeping together 🤣 they weren’t but she believed me and now hates me. But my kidneys are good now!🤣

My mother had this. Clear urine culture on a Thursday. At the ER with a high fever on Saturday or Sunday.

I have one kidney, had a horrible uti, went to the ER because I couldn’t pee a drop and was in horrible pain. They gave me a little pill that made my pee orange and said I was there bc I wanted pain pills. I do t even like to take ibuprofen for a headache.

I had fever and chills and nausea and vomiting. No back pain or burning with urination. No Pain whatsoever … just felt terrible. Ended up having an infected kidney stone removed and spent 5 days in the Hospital with pyelonephritis. Never would have thought…

I have a documented history of asymptomatic UTIs, and dulled pain awareness from 30yrs of juvenile onset Rheumatoid Arthritis. By the time i know something is wrong, it's *wrong*. Kidney pain started at 2am, I was in the ER by 10am. A smug triage nurse said "If you're walking and talking it's not a kidney infection".... i was admitted for 3 days and chastised for "waiting so long".

I remember one time I had a really bad UTI and fought with my parents for MONTHS to take me to the doctor because they didn't believe me. Doctor tore them both a new one because I apparently was like a week away from potentially going septic 😭

Just had to advocate for days for my nonverbal special needs son. Had symptoms, tested + with home test, results in portal showed bacteria, culture showed Aerococcus urinae. It was weekend and I had to keep calling!!! They gave me run around and weren’t sure if he had true infection because lab didn’t specify what type of antibiotic works on this! I told them my husband went septic a few years ago and has suprapubic catheter now. I’m not waiting for my son to go septic!!! Geeezzz already!

I had mastitis turn septis. went to doc and she did same thing called hospital and sent me immediately there. it's way worse than the flu.

I have medullary sponge kidney. I pass stones a lot and get infections really easy never ignore any of these symptoms

Ugh this happened to me but from pneumonia then they found bilateral kidney clots. Now I’m seeing all sorts of specialists

Yup had this. I ended up with sepsis and multi organ failure. They told me if I didn’t start making an improvement I had less than 2 days. Thankfully I pulled thru 😳
