1973 me and my family rode on some of those same rides , let that sink in 1973 and Six Flags still let people ride on those old rides

I litterally work as a ride operator, we run like 15 tests of different scenarios to see if the coaster will depart with a lap bar loose or any other safety hazard, I promise you this didn’t happen

Very sad for the man and his family RIP. Apparently his son was with him too, that has got to be awful and traumatic for life. Im going to a theme park next week I fear I will still be riding the coasters though as this has to be pretty rare i would imagine
